Savannah Study Group
Est. Fall, 2014
The SSG Savannah study group was founded by Marshall Strong, Zach Springer, and Raymond Phipps under the guidance of JC Conway of SSG Charleston and Bryan Johnson of SSG Atlanta in late 2014.
We spend the majority of our time focusing on Fiore's unarmored sword in two hands, abrazare, and other medieval wrestling traditions. Our approach to the Schola curriculum prioritizes fundamental skills and pressure testing Fiore's armizare with time spent open sparing and as many HEMA competitions as we can get to up and down the East Coast.
We prefer that new folks show up on Sunday, a practice better suited to introduction to the material.
TRAINING PREFERENCES
HEMA-style feders; HEMA protective gear
